I have nearly 15 years of HR experience spanning across many different industries. Most of my professional experience has been supporting business leaders and their employees, both in day to day scenarios and targeted projects and initiatives. I have worked for predominantly larger corporations, but as my family grew I realized I needed to find better balance. This opportunity at Golden Section allows me to prioritize my family while simultaneously build a department to drive internal and external people initiatives. I’m thrilled to be in a place where I can lead and develop our internal employees as well as support and provide human capital expertise to our founders and portfolio companies.

What is one thing people should know about you? HR professionals are not “the rules police” or a fun sponge, but we’re here to support everyone at our companies. I came into this line of work to work with and help people at work. We’re really nice, fun people!

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I tore my ACL at mascot camp in high school.

What are you most passionate about professionally? I love working with people and coaching them through uncomfortable or unfamiliar situations. It brings me a lot of joy to see someone gain confidence working through a situation they were initially nervous about. I love that my role adds value across all levels of my organization, and I can be a true business partner to the teams I support.

What are you most passionate about personally? My family. I have two young children, and have realized my work should compliment my family and not the other way around.

What is your favorite place to travel to and why? Estes Park, CO has been my family’s favorite vacation spot since I was a kid. We love to hike and be out in the Rockies, and it doesn’t hurt to have limited cell service either.

What is your favorite way to pursue balance in your life? Ask myself whatever it is I’m doing will support my family and align to my goals – both professionally and personally.
