I have always been intrigued with finance, business and engineering (I’m kind of obsessed with numbers haha). I always worked at my father’s company (wholesale meet industry) in the summers, winters, and Saturdays. When I was in my fourth semester of Industrial Engineering I decided to move to a more financial job (was working part time) at Ayudate Financial. I stayed there only four months because they found out I knew how to program in Excel VBA and that was the only thing I was doing (not actually doing/learning any financial stuff). I came back to work with my dad and then moved into a Welken (Where I worked for almost 2 years), a startup that specialized in water purification for human consumption (B2C), where I was in charge of operations and managing relationships with wholesale distributors (B2B2C).

While doing all of this, I have also been a stock market value investor and have achieved a 18+% CAGR in the past 3+ years. I used to analyze tenths of dozens of companies, but recently decided to invest in a fund and stop analyzing companies that much (I didn’t have the time). While I was at Welken, I got very intrigued with VC and VC backed companies, and started interacting and reading a lot about the space. Right before joining GS, I was about to move to a VC backed company in Mexico City (in the financial department), but decided that I could learn more in a VC, while the culture of the company also seemed way better!

What is one thing people should know about you? I need to exercise everyday, otherwise I get a lot of anxiety. Also, I’m always happy to help.

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I’m very competitive. I started growing after every other kid in elementary/middle school, so I was one of the short guys in my school.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Creating as much value as I can, while always learning something new.

What are you most passionate about personally? Spending quality time with family and friends.

What is your favorite place to travel to and why? To snow ski resorts. I love to ski! hahaha

What is your favorite way to pursue balance in your life? By doing exercise every morning before work, and trying to leave the office at six to do other activities (hanging out with friends and family, playing padel, etc.)
