When I started my career, “product design” and “user experience” didn’t exist as disciplines. I had grown up designing and building websites, and, as the field evolved, so did the job philosophically. It led me to cofounding an esports technology company, which I worked on for over five years. The opportunity to lead a product that has the potential to be critical infrastructure to technologists and venture capitalists was too much to pass up. That, and the free fruit jerky.

What is one thing people should know about you? I most likely know the spread in that random college football game on late tonight.

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I’m a dual citizen; I hold both American and British passports.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Solving difficult problems.

What are you most passionate about personally? Most of my passion is consumed with living for now and not the future and not the past.

What is your favorite place to travel to and why? If I had to recommend any city in the world not named Paris or London, I would say try Florence.

What is your favorite way to pursue balance in your life? In the estimable words of Faith Hill, “Just breathe.”
